A Great Season

The Bountiful Braves made it to the playoffs but they had to face a really tough team from Grantsville.  The Cowboys scored four times in the first half and the Braves were feeling really dejected but they regrouped after halftime to score and ruin the shutout that Granstville was hoping for!  Even though they lost this game, I am so proud of Sean and the rest of the team.  It has been so much fun to watch them every week.  It will be weird to sleep in on Saturday mornings again!
Sean with one of the coaches.  He told us how much he loved Sean and how much he has improved over the season.

I'm so proud of this kid!

Note:  Sean told us that he will miss football but he's looking forward to staying up later on Friday nights!

Last Game of the Season!

The Bountiful Braves celebrated the last game of the season with a big win over the Olympus Titans!  They got a touchdown on their first possession which was very exciting!  I have really enjoyed watching Sean play football this year and I am a little bit sad that the season is over (we do have a playoff game next week).  Sean has become such a great football player and his confidence has increased dramatically.  He has also made some good friends on the team.  It has been a great season and I am so proud of Sean and the rest of the Bountiful Braves!
Sean got blood on his uniform in this game!  His Mom was so proud!

Three Cheers for Number 98!

Just like every other Saturday, my family was there to cheer on our favorite football player!  I hate to admit this, but I have actually started to enjoy getting up early on Saturday morning.  The air is brisk and invigorating, the games are a lot of fun to watch, and I really like going out to breakfast afterwards.  I will be sad when his season ends in a few weeks!  The Braves played the Stansbury Stallions and Sean had a great game.  He would get so pumped up whenever he would get a tackle and, once, we even heard him growl!  It was awesome!

Note:  I didn't get very many pictures of this game because I was trying, unsuccessfully, to get tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert!

Saturday Ritual

It has quickly become a tradition with my family to watch Sean play football and then go to breakfast every Saturday morning.  I really love this little ritual and, I think I've mentioned this once or twice, I look forward to it all week!  I think my whole family enjoys watching Sean play and I think Sean loves having all of us there!  Yesterday the Braves played the Granger Lancers and, once again, Sean had an excellent showing on both offense and defense!
Sean's coach congratulating him on an awesome play!
The coach pulled him out for just a few seconds to get a drink and then put him right back in!
He has made some really good friends on the team.

This is the "You are embarrassing me" look!  I get it a lot!

Fall and Football

Yesterday was the first day of October (which is definitely my favorite month) and it was a perfect fall day!  The temperature was brisk, the sky was blue, and there was a smell of decomposing leaves in the air.  What better way to celebrate fall than by watching a football game?  Sean's team played the Grantsville Cowboys (they played in Grantsville which is an hour away so I had to get up even earlier) and they have the best record in the league.  They were expecting a shutout against the Braves but the Braves had other plans!  Sean (and the team) played so well!  He played both offense and defense and I think he was on the sideline for about two minutes!  He is getting so good at football, more aggressive and more confident!  I just love watching him play; in fact, it is becoming the highlight of my week.  Yesterday was definitely the highlight of a difficult week!  Here are some pictures of the action.

Note:  Do you love fall as much as I do?  Here are two of my favorite fall posts:  Fall Fun for the Locals and Five Fall Drives Near SLC.  Check them out!
